Introduction to Irish Dance!
In light of the Covid-19 situation we have had to revamp our Intro to Irish Dance Summer Workshops. We have the green light to get back to classes in our dance studio provided we follow specific protocols and keep our numbers to 10 kids or less.
Our plan is to not let more than 8 dancers into a session at a time to ensure social distancing and safety. Our studio is large and 8 kids can be spread out easily in our space.
Our plan is to see who signs up for a what dates and then break kids into appropriate groups based on the sign up. I realize it is not easy to sign up for something that doesn't have a specific time attached to it, so I would suggest writing in the memo line of your sign up if you have specific time constraints! IF more than 8 kids sign up for any week we will break them into 2 groups.
The following protocols will be in place and will be strictly adhered to:
1 - drop off outside and pick up outside only - no parents or siblings will be allowed into the studio and no one in the waiting room
2 - Dancers will come into the studio with their dance shoes already on their feet and tied. Ballet slippers are perfect for this session. they can also bring a water bottle but it must have their name on it, if there is no name we can't allow it. This is all they will be allowed to bring in with them unless there is something else medically necessary.
3 - NO SNACKS of any kind, classes will be short enough that dancers will be able to go without a snack.
4 - No water fountain, this will be off limits
5 - Temperature check upon arrival
6 - Kids will not be allowed to hang out in the hallway
7- Hand sanitizer will be readily available throughout the studio and antibacterial soap in the bathrooms
8 - Staff members will wear masks at all times
9 - Dancers will not wear masks while dancing as it is not safe to exercise with a mask on
10- All frequently touched surfaces will be wiped down and sanitized between classes
11- Social distancing will be practiced in the dance studio during classes
We are working on other safety measures as well.
If you are OK with all of the above, AND you return the signed waiver for participation (which will be provided to you, then please sign up below.
We can not assign times until we know who would like to attend classes that week. We are hoping that everyone is fairly flexible at this time, but if you do have a particular time constraint then please note it in your memo line and we will try to work around it but can't really guarantee it.
