For more than 25 years, St. Luke's has been responsible for preparing and serving two Dinner Meals per month at the near-downtown shelter called Fletcher Place Community Center. Volunteers donate, and transport food from St. Luke's UMC to this Fountain Square haven for the homeless and needy. Dinners are prepared on site the 3rd Monday and 4th Wednesday of each month.
Volunteers are needed to donate food items, cook and serve the food. Please sign up below to donate food and/or volunteer. Thank you for supporting this great ministry.
Donations of Food: Please label all food Fletcher Place Dinner. Place the non perishables (any day of the week) on the rack in the Main Office (it is labeled). Perishable food drop-off during the week, get the Great Hall kitchen key from the Main office staff, place food in the fridge on the shelves labeled Fletcher Place, and return the key. If you are bringing perishables on the Sunday before the meal, the Great Hall Kitchen will be open Sunday morning only. Place perishables only in the fridge on shelving marked Fletcher Place. Thanks for your understanding.
