There are almost 400 Northbrook students who participate in the free or reduced lunch program in our public schools. Through your generosity, the Hunger Free Northbrook Student Food Pack program provides nutritious groceries to many of these food insecure students and their families. During this challenging time, the need is great and we appreciate your kindness and support of our Northbrook neighbors.
This registration allows you to sign up to purchase the groceries (each bag costs approximately $25-30) and bring them to Action Plastics, 3995 Commercial Ave. in Northbrook during the times noted.
Each food bag has a list of food chosen by nutritionists to assure families are getting a well-balanced diet. Please find the Bag A and Bag B contents as well as some packing guidelines in the attachments below. We understand due to food shortages, some of these foods may not be readily available. Please substitute with the best available option. Please feel free to email Henry Fetta with questions at [email protected]
Please drop off your bag(s) on your chosen date between 9:00 am – 12:00 pm just inside the front entrance/foyer at Action Plastics. No physical interaction is needed when dropping off the bag(s).
If you prefer to make a monetary donation please go to: hungerresourcenetwork.org and mention the Student Food Pack program. Thank you for your generosity.
