Saturday, February 27 at St. Mary's Gym
Ages: Seniors to Seven Year Olds. Come for all or part of the day. Enter by the preschool playground. Remember to bring a face mask. We will practice social distancing, proper sanitizing, and expect a health form to sign.
10 AM - 11:30 AM Pack hats, gloves, hand warmers. . . for the homeless at Song and Spirit;
Sort Greeting Cards; Sign a Big Card for Essential Workers; Bake cookies; Meet Lenten neighbors in Madagascar with Rice Bowl activities. Decorate the Gym with Random Acts of Kindness. Take a few minutes to connect our Mercy Actions to Gospel stories, and Catholic Social Teaching.
11:15 Help carry cases of bottled water to cars for Baldwin Center.
11:30 - 12:20 Drive bottled water to Baldwin Center.
12:30 - 3:30 Cooks in the kitchen to prepare meals for Lighthouse Shelter
3:30 - 4:30 Pack meals on assembly line; add Scripture Quote to lids; load cars.
4:30 - 5:30 Deliver meals to Lighthouse in Auburn Hills. Directions will be provided.
Keep the Day in prayer for participants and the many neighbors who will recieve meals and care packages. Lighthouse and Song and Spirit have websites. Both organizations minister with individuals experiencing homelessness.
