Tools for School July 16-21, 2019
Merciful Help Center

SEE TABS FOR VARIOUS DATES ABOVE! Tools for School *2019* Saturday

The OLMC Merciful H.E.L.P. Center invites YOU to volunteer for 2019 Tools for School! Each year, we assist many qualified families with back to school supplies, clothing, socks, undies, shoes, coats, books, food and fluoride treatments. We are in need of help on ALL days, set up (Tuesday, July 16, Wednesday, July 17 and Thursday, July 18) the distribution days (Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20) and clean-up (Sunday, July 21). The families we serve will touch your heart. This will be worthwhile time spent this summer! To volunteer, sign-up in the following areas of interest:

Volunteer Check-in

School Supplies

Shoe Distribution

Undie Sunday

Coats for Kids

Books in Hand

Concession Stand

Quiet Room

Hospitality

Food Distribution

Please feel free to browse our on-line registration site to see which dates/times/volunteer assignments meet your needs. You can staff more than one shift.  Please note that the shifts have different start/stop times in each area! After you have registered, you will receive an email reminder approximately 3 days prior to your scheduled assignment. If you would like to receive a text message reminder, you can set-up that preference in your Personal Profile section of SignUp Genius.

You must sign-up to volunteer! We can't guarantee you a volunteer position if you are not registered.

SPECIAL NOTE: If you only have one email account but you are registering multiple family members, please indicate the volunteers name in the comment section provided.  You may only sign up for family members.  Please do not block out time slots for groups. If you would like to work with a group, please call the Merciful HELP Center office to see if we can accommodate you.

On Friday (7/19) and Saturday (7/20) ALL volunteers must report to the Lower Level of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for volunteer check-in. After check-in, you will be directed to your assignment. Set up and clean up volunteers on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (July 16-18) and Sunday (7-21) should report directly to the area they chose to assist in.

AFTER THE BASH occurs on during pantry hours the week after the main Tools for School event. This helps families that missed the registration deadline and families that were not able to make their appointments. This takes place on Tuesday, July 23, 10 to noon and 5 to 7 PM,  Thursday, July 25, from 10 to noon and Saturday, July 27, from 9 to 11:30 am at the Merciful HELP Center.

For more information about the Tools for School program please visit the OLMC Merciful HELP Center website at http://mercifulhelpcenter.org/home_new.htm

Thank you for supporting 2019 Tools for School! God Bless You!

Please feel free to call with questions or leave a message at 663-4039 ext 5. or email [email protected]
