Spring 2019 VIP Consignor Sign-Up!

Thank you so much for your interest in our VIP consignor program. We would love to help you in selling your gently used children’s items, but there are a few guidelines. We continually strive to maintain high quality standards and these guidelines help ensure we remain THE PLACE TO SHOP FOR ALL YOUR CHILDREN'S ITEMS! Please take a moment to review. If this all sounds good to you, then just pick a date/time/location that works best for your schedule and one of our fantastic processors will meet you to pick up your gently used items. Again, thank you so very much for your interest!

 

VIP GUIDELINES AND POLICIES - PLEASE READ! 
~CHANGES FOR THE SPRING 2019 VIP SEASON ARE IN RED~

If at any time during the VIP process you have any questions, please email Jennifer (VIP Coordinator) at [email protected]. We've listed some important information below regarding what percentage you will receive and all the VIP guidelines so please read thoroughly.

 


1.    PREP YOUR ITEMS:
 

  • Acceptable Items for the Broken Arrow Spring & Summer Event:
    * We accept clothing in boy's sizes 0-20, girl's sizes 0-16 and junior sizes 1-11 in teen styles. We also accept maternity clothing in-style and in good condition. We accept all indoor & outdoor toys, books, baby equipment, baby furniture, and household furniture at both Spring & Fall events.
    * We will accept Spring and summer clothing, as well as lightweight jackets (no coats), lightweight pants, khaki pants, jeans, and long-sleeved shirts that are “spring like” in fabric and look (although, they sell better in the Fall). We will not accept fleece**, heavy jackets, sweaters, sweats**, corduroy clothing, or snow boots. We do not accept prom dresses. Don’t forget to consign your Holiday outfits such as Valentine's Day, Easter, 4th of July, rain gear, sun hats, swimwear, and pool accessories!
    ** We will accept fleece sleepers size Newborn - 9 Months.
    ** We will accept name brand hoodies.
    ** Maternity is limited to 15 hangers per consignor. The limit includes clothing only.
    ** Juniors is limited to 15 hangers per consignor. The limit includes clothing only.

     
  • Consignor Fee is $11.50: 
    The consignor fee helps pay for things like our event space, advertising, etc... In the 7 years we have been running this event, we have not raised our consignor fee one time (even though our rent has quadrupled and we do much more advertising)!
    BONUS - Our fee is still $1.00 below our competitor!!

     
  • 200 Item Limit per Consignor Code: 
    In order to keep our inventory high-end and of the highest quality, we are limiting consignors to 200 items per consignor code. Please carefully check your things and bring your best! 
    * An entire outfit is only considered one item as long as it can be sold together. This limit encompasses clothing, shoes, toys, books, furniture and all other items. 
    ** If you have more than 200 items in EXCELLENT condition, we will open up additional consignor codes for you. Each consignor code will be subject to the $11.50 consignor fee.

     
  • Unacceptable Items:
    We do not accept prom dresses or queen/king bedding. Antiques, lamps, home decor (unless for a kid's room), dishes, collectibles, computers, etc. We do not accept panties, underwear, pacifiers, baby formula, or diapers unless in original, unopened package. We do not accept used sippy cups with soft rubber spout, bottle nipples, or tubing on breast pumps.

     
  • You Will NOT Get Your Containers/Totes Back:
    All clothing and small items, must be in cardboard boxes for transportation (or any container/tote that you do NOT want back). WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ITEMS IN TRASH BAGS. Please do not give us any containers that you would like returned. Our VIP Consignor program has grown significantly - yay for shoppers! With growth comes challenges and it is no longer feasible for us to sort 350+ totes from 100+ consignors at the end of the event. Big items such as large toys, high chairs, strollers, etc. do not need to be in a box.
    BONUS - This means if you donate all your unsold items, you no longer have to go to Pick-Up Day to get your empty totes!!

     
  • Donation Partners:
    We encourage you to donate your unsold items to our non-profit partners – Tulsa Advocates for the Protection of Children (TAPC), Union Clothing Closet, Rhema We Care Center, and local foster families! These non-profits bless families that are in need so please consider donating to them. 

     
  • To Receive 50% of your Sales:
    All clothing must be ON plastic or coated wire hangers and outfits must be grouped together. No wire hangers will be accepted (hanger should look like a question mark when viewing front of garment, picture above). You do not need to safety pin clothing to the hanger; we will do that for you! If you have pants, fold them over the bottom of the hanger and place neatly in your box. We will secure items to the hanger and put a string tag on everything for you.
    IF YOU HAVE ANY CLOTHING THAT IS NOT ON HANGERS, YOU WILL RECEIVE 40% OF YOUR SALES! If you are bundling like items together, they MUST be the same gender and size. Do not bundle more than 4 single items together. When putting outfits together, they must be the same gender and size. One outfit per hanger. Any deviation from these guidelines will cause you to earn 40% of your sales. Trying to hang multiple outfits on one hanger or bundling more than 4 single items does not merchandise well and they will not sell.

     
  • To Receive 40% of your Sales:
    All clothing must be laundered and outfits grouped together. We will purchase hangers and hang all clothing.

     
  • Excessive Sorting Fee:
    All items MUST be seasonal, working with batteries, and sorted! Clothing must be laundered, season appropriate (spring and summer for this event) with no stains, holes, rips, peeling, cracking, excessive wear, and no odors. Shoes must be clean and in good condition. We continually strive to maintain high quality standards as well as remain efficient with our VIP Processor's time. If we can tell your items have not been sorted (we pull more than 2 Walmart sacks full of unacceptable items), YOU WILL BE CHARGED A $15 EXCESSIVE SORTING FEE that will go to your Processor for her time. As continued, Items that DO NOT meet our quality guidelines will be DONATED IMMEDIATELY to a Non-Profit Donation Partner. Unfortunately, we are unable to store items that are out of season or do not meet the stated quality guidelines.

     
  • Big Money Makers:
    Baby equipment (strollers, high chairs, pack n' plays, swings, bouncy seats, etc.) are BIG BIG Sellers - these items add BIG $$$ to your paycheck!

     
  • Consigning Your Own Items:
    If you consign any items on your own (you do the work of tagging, pricing, entering, labeling, & drop off), you will need to create an additional consignor code (different than your VIP consignor code) and you will pay an additional $11.50 consignor fee.

 
 

2. DROP OFF PREPPED ITEMS
 

  • Drop off your boxes and big items on the date/time/location you signed up for below.
  • At this time, you will be assigned a VIP Processor, you will complete a Consignor Agreement form (along with any other applicable forms), and you will complete a Consignor Checklist. 
  • You will receive a pass to shop our Private Pre-Sale on Saturday, February 2nd, at 1 PM! If we do not have your consignor shopping pass at drop off, it will be mailed to you.
  • PLEASE NOTE: If you find more items you would like to VIP Consign after drop off, you may contact your VIP Rep to see if she will be able to take them. There is no guarantee that your VIP Processor will be able to take more items so please try to have all items ready on your drop off day!


     

3. ITEMS ARE COMPLETE - YOUR VIP PROCESSOR WILL CONTACT YOU

  • Once your items have been entered into our database, your VIP Processor will email/text you your login information and ask that you review your items and prices. You will have 48 hours to review items and prices before we will permanently close your batch of consigned items. Typically, we work in order of pick-up. It may be several weeks before you hear from your VIP Processor but please do not worry… Your items will be complete prior to the sale!

     

4. PICK UP DAY (PAYDAY!!!)

  • All unsold, non-donated items must be picked up on our designated Pick-Up Day – Friday, Febuary 8th from 3pm-7pm at Rhema NRC, 1421 W. Kenosha St., in Broken Arrow (on the west side of the building, enter through the southwest doors! You will receive a detailed inventory sheet, any unsold non-donated items, and a check for your items sold. Should you fail to pick up your unsold, non-donated items on Pick-Up Day, we will mail you your check and DONATE YOUR ITEMS TO OUR NON-PROFIT DONATION PARTNERS.

 


 

BY SIGNING UP BELOW, YOU AGREE THAT YOU HAVE READ THE VIP GUIDELINES AND POLICIES. AT DROP OFF, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO INITIAL NEXT TO EACH STATEMENT YOU AGREE WITH:

_______ I am aware that you are only accepting spring & summer clothing and shoes.

_______ I am aware that maternity clothing is limited to 15 hangers per consignor.

_______ I am aware that juniors clothing is limited to 15 hangers per consignor.

_______ I am aware that the consignor fee is $11.50.

_______ I am aware that there is a 200-item limit per consignor. If I exceed 200 items, my VIP Processor will assign me another consignor code. Each consignor code is subject to the $11.50 consignor fee.

_______ I am aware that any clothing not ON the hanger, will cause me to earn 40% of my sales. I am also aware that over bundling (more than 4 single items on a hanger or more than one outfit on a hanger) will cause me to earn 40% of my sales.

_______ I am aware that I will NOT receive my boxes/containers/totes back. I am aware that you do not accept items in trash bags.

_______ I am aware that if my VIP Processor pulls two or more Walmart sacks full of unacceptable items, I will be charged a $15 Excessive Sorting Fee. This fee goes to my VIP Processor for her time sorting through my items.

_______ I am aware that items NOT MEETING our quality guidelines will be donated immediately to a non-profit donations partner and I will NOT receive those items back.

_______ I am aware that if I want to consign my own items, I will need to get a separate consignor code (different than the VIP consignor code) and I will pay an additional $11.50 consignor code.

_______ I am aware that if I find more items after the initial drop off, I may contact my VIP Processor to see if she will be able to take them. There is no guarantee that she will be able to take more items.

_______ I am aware that once my VIP Processor contacts me about my completed items, I will have 48 hours to review and make changes before my items and prices are permanently closed.

_______ I am aware that Pick-Up Day is Friday, February 8, from 3-7PM at Rhema NRC. Any unsold, non-donated items left after 7PM will be donated to Non-Profit Donation Partners.
