A perfect compliment to sports, yoga helps our younger generation improve strength, flexibility, body awareness, and coordination.
This class focuses on body awareness, balance, and breathing techniques to support us in movement or in anxious or stressful situations. Most of all this is an inclusive and fun environment.
Typical class format
We start the session with a share circle, positive affirmations or mantras.
From here we move into some grounding and breathing exercises. Then we flow into some movements to stretch and strengthen. We love partner or group poses - that's where the giggles come out! Each class includes at least one balance pose and some deeper stretching. We might practice working towards forearm or handstands or wheel pose.
Everyone is encouraged to find something that challenges themselves, without judgment or competition. We have a very supportive community in this respect!
We end all of our classes with grounding, visualization, meditation, or chanting mantras.
