Join us for the 20th annual Triangle Run/Walk for Autism on Saturday, October 13th!

Halifax Mall, at 300 N. Salisbury St., in downtown Raleigh.

Our event would not be possible without YOU so thank you very much for volunteering!

All volunteers will receive an email a week prior to the race with final volunteer assignment information and parking instructions. You will also receive a printable PDF parking sign in that email to print at home and place on your dashboard on the day of the race.

All volunteers will get a volunteer t-shirt to wear on race day.

Packet Pickup (4)

Located at ASNC office, 505 Oberlin Road, Suite 100, Raleigh, volunteers will assist participants in picking up their bib # and t-shirt if they pre-registered, helping team captains with their team boxes, and registering new participants.

Hospitality Tent (6)

Volunteers will help set-up tent, slice and serve bagels, and replenish food/drinks. At the end of the race they will break down tables/chairs and help with clean-up.

 
6:00am - 9:30am  

Clean Up - Shift 1 (3)

Shift 1 volunteers will be responsible distributing trash cans around mall, cleaning up trash from initial race set up, stacking extra tables and chairs, removing trash from hospitality area, and wiping down tables.

 
6:00am - 11:00am  

Volunteer Tent (3)

Volunteers will help sign in volunteers, give out t-shirts, and direct volunteers to their location.

Decorations (4)

Volunteers will develop a decoration plan/layout and secure donated fall decorations for the mall and hospitality area. They will set up and remove all decorations.

Registration Tent - Cash (4)

Registration volunteers will be responsible for processing day of registrations onsite. Volunteers will assist participants in completing registration form, collecting payment, assigning bib numbers and distributing t-shirts.

Registration Tent - T-shirt

Registration volunteers will be responsible for processing day of registrations onsite. Volunteers will assist participants in completing registration form, collecting payment, assigning bib numbers and distributing t-shirts.

 

T-Shirt Contest (2)

Volunteers will accept team t-shirts for judging, hang on clothesline, collect and tally votes, provide winning info to awards ceremony.

Parking Volunteers (9)

Volunteer will be responsible for directing volunteers and participants into assigned parking areas along Wilmington and Salisbury Streets.

Hospitality Roamers (2)

Work with Hospitality Chair wherever needed

 

Kids Play Area Coordinator (2)

Volunteer coordinators helps set up games for children and set up structure to maintain safety. Volunteers also help with line management for face painting and bounce house.

 
7:30am - 11:00am  

Course Marshal (60)

Volunteers will be assigned a spot along the course route to help direct runners and cheer participants on as they come by. **COURSE MARSHALS MUST BE 21 OR OLDER**

 
8:00am - 10:30am  

Finish Line Water Station (11)

Volunteers will be at the finish line water station. They will fill cups (to be ready by 9AM). After the race they'll dispose of trash and break down tables/chairs.

 

Finish Line Cheerleaders (10)

Cheer on participants at finish line

 

On-Site Water Stations (10)

Volunteers will be stationed at 2 water stations along 5K route. They'll need to fill cups with water and hand them to participants. After the race they'll put cups into trash bags and break down tables/chairs.

 

Kids Dash (4)

Assist Kids Dash Chair with gathering children for the Kids Dash.

 
8:00am - 11:00am  

Clean Up - Roaming (5)

Roaming volunteers will circulate thru the mall during event to pick up trash and empty any full trash cans.

 
10:30am - 1:00pm  

Clean Up - Shift 2 (3)

Shift 2 volunteers will be responsible for gathering all trash cans after event into one location for pickup, helping remove barricades and cones from along course, and final walk thru with staff to ensure all trash is cleaned up from mall.
