The Denver Catholic Biblical and Catechetical Schools are pleased to present a free talk for Advent, entitled "Remember the Promise," by Scott Elmer of the Archdiocese of Denver. The talk will be at 6:30pm on Monday, December 9, 2019, at Bonfils Hall on the campus of the St John Paul II Center (1300 S Steele Street, Denver 80210; click HERE for map) and can be enjoyed by attending in person or by livestream on your personal device. Mr. Elmer currently serves as the Executive Director of Evangelization and Family Life Ministries at the Catholic Archdiocese of Denver.
A Brief Description:
Advent is commonly referred to as the season of hope. It is a time when Catholics are invited to remember the promise of salvation and sanctify themselves for the coming of the king and his kingdom. We cannot hope in what we do not remember, we cannot remember what we do not know, and we cannot know what has not been proclaimed. Come join us for an evening of proclaiming and claiming God’s great and generous promises of salvation and victory as we prepare for the Lord’s coming again at Christmas.
You only need to sign up if you plan to attend the talk in person. No need to sign up to livestream, as the link will be posted on our school website by 6pm on December 9 (find it at "Retreats and Workshops" under the "Events" dropdown.) To attend the live talk, click on the pink "Sign Up" button below, then click the green "Submit and Sign Up" button at the very bottom. You will be redirected to a page to provide your name and email address. Live attendance is limited to 150 seats. Livestream is unlimited capacity.
Please note: Bonfils Hall at the St. John Paul II Center (1300 S Steele Street, Denver) is located on the east side of the JPII Center, at the intersection of So. Monroe Street and E Louisiana Avenue. The lecture hall at Bonfils Hall is on a lower floor, accessible only by stairs. No elevator service is available.
