HFCC Helping Hands
"Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy." - Francis Pharcellus Church
Each year our Pastorate of St. Francis - St. Mary - Holy Family sponsors individuals and families within our local Middletown Valley, Brunswick Community, and throughout Frederick County who are in need during the Christmas Season. Donations ranging from food, to toys, to clothing and hygiene items, to monetary and gift card donations are provided.
Volunteers Needed for the Following Events/Activities:
* Cut & String Ornaments
* Host our Christmas Tree Tables to Assist Ornament Sign-Outs
* Saturday Collection to Sort & Prepare Gifts for Delivery
Families are more than welcome to volunteer, the more the merrier! A Parent and/or Guardian must be present with any youth volunteers. We have many dates and times available, please feel free to sign up for more than one event or time slot below.
Parents: Please sign up under your name and note your youth's name in the comments who will be volunteering with you.
TYM, Scouts & Students: We are more than happy to verify and sign as completion of community or confirmation service hours. Be sure to bring any forms requiring signatures with you to collection weekend.
Hosting our Tree Tables: Assist parishioners in selecting and SIGNING OUT ornaments displayed on our Christmas Trees and Table. There will be a page of tips and reminders including delivery dates on the tables for reference. A formal training session is not required to help but please feel free to call or email our Volunteer Coordinator, Lauren Dutrow at 301-748-7203 or [email protected] with any questions.
Just as Saint Nicholas is commemorated and revered among the faithful for his secret gift giving, we would like to thank you for volunteering your most precious gift, your TIME! With your help, Holy Family's Helping Hands Christmas Giving Project will be able to bless more families than ever before.
