"Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it." (Hebrews: 13:2)
Thank you for your willingness to serve our unsheltered neighbors. Our goal is to share the love of God through hospitality. Some form of warm shelter is a basic necessity that more than 2,000 people in Memphis are living without each night. Churches with warm buildings and people who can provide this necessity along with needed meals and a good helping of kindness and respect. CTK serves along with eight other congregations/faith-based organizations at Colonial Cumberland Presbyterian Church-1500 S.Perkins Road (corner of Quince and Perkins). Each month, November through March, we serve on the second Tuesday. There are many different ways you can support this ministry. Please look at the various options below and sign-up. You may sign up to bring items or sign up to physically be there, or both. Starting last season, we added a role that is only 1 hour downtown at the Carpenter's House, on N 2nd Ave. (near the Memphis Convention Center-between Poplar and Exchange).
Please pray for this ministry and the guests that we will be seeking to serve.
If you want to help but can't physically be there during the hours there are other ways to help. You can prepare the meal, provide breakfast items, wash the towels and linens after the event, etc.
If you should have any questions or have suggestions for improvements, please contact our church office or email ([email protected]) or call/ text me (901-237-8216).
For the Glory of Christ Always,
