nourish.NJ Meal Kits
You can make a life a bit easier for local families in need. Provide and package all the ingredients needed to prepare a healthy, delicious homecooked dinner!
Step 1 Choose from our two delicious options.
Step 2 Shop for the ingredients listed below for each meal kit.
Italian Lentils and Pasta or Whole Grain
- 16 oz. bag of green or brown lentils
- 1 - 28 oz. can whole plum tomatoes
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 bunch fresh Italian parsley or basil
- small bottle or packet extra virgin olive oil
- 16 oz. box small whole wheat pasta (or substitute with faro, barley or brown rice)
- small bottle red pepper flakes (optional)
Creamy Braised White Beans, Chickpeas and Spinach
- 3-4 garlic cloves
- 1 - 14.5 oz. can chicken broth
- 1 - 15 oz. can chickpeas
- 2 - 15 oz. can white beans - cannellini or great northern
- small bottle of dried thyme
- small bottle of nutmeg
- 1 - 5-6 oz. bag fresh spinach leaves (or Kale)
- small bottle or packet extra virgin olive oil
Step 3 Package all ingredients for each kit in a separate shopping bag or box. Sealed items only, please. (we are building our guests pantries)
Step 4 Staple a copy of our recipe in English and Spanish on the outside of the bag/box.
Step 5 Add a dash of love! Write a personal note for the family.
