ReOpen San Diego
Hi Friends, Aly Hartmann here with a BIG ask!
Please join us at 12 Noon on Tuesday, April 6th to demand the County Board of Supervisors reopen meetings to the public in person. SIGN UP BELOW TO RSVP.
It's been a YEAR since our local politicians have let us, the public who elected them, into a meeting! This is not only morally wrong, but it is illegal to shut out the public like this. We have no idea if they even are listening to our comments or reading our internet comments. We deserve a seat at the table!
Bring a creative sign to 1600 Pacific Highway at 12 NOON. There's lots of parking in the parking structure or street parking.
If you can not be there in person, we are asking for at least 10 people to SIGN UP BELOW TO CALL IN in either for the general public comment to say, "Let us in!" or for the Covid response Agenda Item #5 to say, "there's no state of emergency so why aren't you reopening everything now??"
We will gather at the area facing the waterfront for live speakers.
Good news for those that don't want to sit around all day listening to the boring BOS meeting waiting to call in: one of our ReOpen SD members has volunteered to text you when your agenda item is up and it's time to tune in and call! We are making this very easy to fight tyranny!
- Important: You MUST register online BEFORE 9 am on April 6th meeting day to be able to speak.
- Starting 9 am on Tuesday April 6, watch or listen to the meeting on TV or online at Cox Ch. 24 or Ch. 19, Spectrum Ch. 24 or Ch. 85, streaming live on sandiegocounty.gov and youtube/countysandiego
- Important! The meeting starts at 9am so if you sign up to call in you will need to be ready to comment on the particular agenda item when it comes up and they DO move them around at times.
- Don’t have time to call? Submit a written comment online BEFORE 9 am on April 6th meeting day.
Thank you! Aly and the ReOpen San Diego Team
