A fun and friendly introduction to improvisation!
The Lancaster Playhouse invites you to participate in our two-part Improvisation Workshop led by Chris Kernaghan. No experience in acting, comedy or improv needed. You don’t need to be clever or funny! Just be ready to play.
At its core, improv is the art of making things up on the spot - characters, situations, whole scenes. That sort of blank slate may sound intimidating, but there are a number of techniques one can develop to improve listening skills, spontaneity, confidence, character development and storytelling. In fact, improv can serve as an important foundation for people of all types, whether you’re an aspiring comedian, an actor hoping to up your audition game, or are just plain feeling adventurous.
Let’s do this! Come dressed comfortably to allow for movement and please bring a prop (object/thing) of your choice. There is no cost for this workshop, but registration is required and do plan on attending both sessions. Masks and social distancing are encouraged.
Check the "Sign Up" Box and then hit the "Submit and Sign Up" button at the very bottom of the page. Thank you!
