Cuthbertson Middle School and the PTSO are proud to partner to support the Union County Community Shelter in its 2020 “Souper Bowl of Caring” campaign to help raise funds to provide shelter and food for the homeless in Union County.
CMS staff will be invited to attend a Soup Luncheon fundraiser on Friday, January 1/31. In return, CMS staff will be making donations to this campaign. All proceeds raised during this event will go directly to the Union County Community Shelter.
The luncheon menu will include soup, dessert, and drinks. We anticipate 100 attendees at this luncheon so we are requesting 20 crockpots containing pre-heated soup. Crockpots can be dropped off at the CMS main office between 8:00 am and 10 am on Friday 1/31, but no later than 10am please. This way we can ensure we have enough soup before lunch begins. We have plenty of space to keep them warm until lunch. Crockpots can then be picked up in the office after 1:30 pm or your student can pick it up after school. Please be sure to label the crock pot (and ladle if you choose to provide one) with the following information
- Parent name and contact phone number
- Type of soup being provided
Soup does not need to be homemade/made from scratch and any size crockpot will be appreciated. Please deliver crock pots with soup already hot. For planning purposes, please note that upon delivery at the school, all crock pots will be immediately set up and turned to low/warm and then served beginning at 11 am.
The PTSO also needs volunteers to help with this effort: 4 volunteers to help with collecting soup and set-up, and 5 volunteers to help with serving & clean-up.
Thank you for supporting this effort for the Union County Community Shelter.
