All Campus
Dear Parents,
Spending time observing in our environment is an investment into your child and their success. We hope you come and visit us. We value your time and effort to learn more about the Montessori philosophy, curriculum, and your child’s progress. It is vital that parents, teachers, and administrators connect, work together as a team, and have equal input into the development of their child.
We want you to gain as much as you can during your time with us. In order to see the classroom function as normally as possible, please try to minimize your effect on the class by observing the following guidelines:
-
Please sit quietly in the observation chairs – occasionally a child may talk to you. Respond kindly to his or her questions, but try not to engage in conversation. Explain you are here to watch the children while they do their work.
-
Please do not walk around the classroom and examine the materials unless the children are gone.
-
After observing, if you would like to work alongside your child, you are welcome to.
We have prepared an OBSERVATION REFLECTION document to help guide you through your time in our classroom. Please click the link and read through the document prior to your visit. We will also give this to you when you arrive.
Please take a few moments during or following your time in the classroom to reflect on what you have seen and experienced. We value your feedback and would also like you to be able to retain your notes. Please stop in the office to share your feedback with us. We encourage you to attend an observation time offered throughout the remainder of the school year. This is such a wonderful to connect to what your child is learning and experiencing inside their classroom.
Please let me know if you have any questions,
