Massage Arkansas Education
Thai Fusion has a foundation in Thai Massage but in practical application, I have learned that traditional Thai can be a little scary to both the western client and therapist. The techniques are often really deep, really fast, and the body mechanics can be difficult to master.
I love Thai Massage, but I’ve learned that my clients need something that is a little more westernized; gentler but still effective.
Thai Fusion is the best of therapeutic stretching. It is taught on the floor (or in a chair for seated) but many of the moves can be modified for the table. The theory is that if you build the stretches slowly you can get super deep stretches without injury or overworking the muscles.
Thai Fusion is a five-part series: Supine, Prone, Side Lying, Seated & Sequencing. Each class is a standalone class, so you can take one or take them all.
Sequencing will teach you how to move from the routines that you learned in the first four to building your own custom routines for specific client needs. And some bonus material to take your stretching to the next level. This class requires you to take the other four before registering.
Thai Fusion - Supine is a head to toe routine that is done fully clothed and entirely with the client in the supine position. Things you will learn:
· When, where, & why you would use a bolster
· Contraindications, general and move specific
· Modifications and variations
· Speed, tempo, pressure, etc.
· Communicating during the session
· Marketing the modality to attract new clients
· The anatomy of the stretch
· A 45 minute routine
· And much more!
Each class comes with a full color manual, so you can refer back to not only the description but a picture of each position to ensure you can start practicing right away.
Whether you are looking to add a little stretch to your table work or you want to fully transition to the floor, this is the class for you!
The class is 6 hour CE approved by the Arkansas Department of Health AR2017-015. The total cost is $125 + $3 processing.
