The 2nd Annual JD Gibbs Cycle Charlotte is set to roll from the Charlotte Motor Speedway and travel through the beautiful roads of Mecklenburg, Union and Cabarrus Counties on a NASCAR themed bicycle ride. During the ride, you will enjoy the behind scenes racing stories as several past, current and future stars of the sport will join the event. New for 2019, we will have one timed section on the 50 Mile Green Flag Route and two timed sections on the 75 mile Checkered Flag Route. Mark your calendar for Sunday, September 22 at 9:00 AM as this is one event you don't want to miss.

Red Flag – 1 stop – short route
Green Flag – 3 stops – 52 miles route
Checkered Flag – 4 stops
Tentative Rest Stops / Aid Stations:
Aid Station #1 will be hit by all three routes – It will be at the corner of Sam Black Rd/Cabarrus Station Rd. There’s an old store there that we used to use a stop. If we can’t get permission there, there’s Legion Post just before this location. We do plan to put a portable toilet at this location. This is roughly mile 17. 5 on the Red Flag route, roughly 35.5 for the Green Flag ride, and mile 58.5 for the Checkered Flag
Aid Station #2
Allen Volunteer Fire Department – Hit by the Green Flag and Checkered Flag Route @ mile 15
Aid Station #3
Reid Gold Mine – Hit by the Green Flag and Checkered Flag Route @ mile 25.5
Aid Station #4 – Checkered Flag ONLY
Piedmont Middle or High School @ Mile 44
