Dear Banneker Families,
A flyer went home right before winter beak about the International Night, that will take place on January 16th, at 6PM. This will be a time to learn about many different cultures, traditions, and try delicious food from all around the world.
The focus of the event is International Food! There will be a paper coming home at the beginning of January, for you to sign up to bring food that represents your heritage.
In the meantime, while we're still on winter break, here are some ways your families can get involved to help make the International Night a fun learning experience.
1. Make a small poster about the country of origin or your family's heritage. In the comment section of the signup genius, please write the name of the country you will make your poster about.
2. Be an ambassador, as a parent or with your family. Share interesting facts or traditions with everyone. You could show us a dance, or teach some expressions in in the language of your origin, etc. In the comment section of the Signup genius, please write the name of the country you will be representing and what you will be sharing.
While these two things are optional, your involvement is greatly appreciated.
We will also need help with set up and clean up. Please let us know if you are interested.
