Open Hands is operating as a drive-thru pantry to keep our volunteers and guests safe during the current health crisis. We have streamlined our operation so that we can continue to offer food to our hungry neighbors while also following all safety measures suggested by the CDC. Guests will remain in their cars and be directed to the driveway off of Woodward. Volunteers will then place 2 bags of food per household into the trunk or leave them beside the car.
We are limiting the number of volunteers that can serve each day in order to allow us to easily keep a 6 foot distance between people. We ask that volunteers are commited to following all CDC guidlelines, including the following: if you are experiencing any symptoms of the COVID virus, or if you have traveled by plane in the past 14 days, or if you have been in contact with anyone who has symptoms in the past 14 days, please do not come in to volunteer. Also we ask that you follow distancing guidelines and wear a mask when indoors or when in contact with guests and other volunteers.
Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Please consider signing up for only one slot per day - as we move into the warmer months it is getting very warm in our workspace. Thank you!
