Overview: Volunteers of all ages and skill levels come together to serve an individual or family in the Lake Travis community. Minor home repairs and yard clean-up are typical of a workday, but there will be much, much more going on!
As you step out of your car, you'll be stepping into an ongoing relationship between Partners in Hope and the family you are serving that will include future opportunites for you to reconnect over the next twelve-plus months.
Your abilities, talents, passions and skills are not only valuable, but necessary to the success of this endeavor. We look forward to putting them to excellent use and helping you discover new ones!
We strongly encourage all our volunteers to read the "7 Practices of Highly Helpful Volunteers" by clicking the related file below. Check out the link to learn more about how Partners in Hope serves others and helps you do the same through these best practices.
Sign Up in 2 Easy Steps
1. Read the Terms of the Release and Waiver of Liability by Clicking on the Link Below.
You will be asked to agree to the terms by typing your name in the space provided at the end of the sign up process.
2. Sign up in an Open Slot and Submit. Please note, if there is no available slot, we're sorry, but we have reached the volunteer limit for this event. Current pandemic guidelines and the necessity of safe-guarding the health of the families we serve impose strict limits on the number of volunteers allowed at any one location.
What to Wear: Mask, closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty.
What to Bring: Mask, hand sanitizer, work gloves, mosquito repellant, sunscreen and a great attitude! Things can and will change during the workday.
Tools to Bring to Most Work Days: chain saws, weed eaters, trimmers and other yard tools.
Bring your own personal cooler with plenty to drink and pack snacks if you think you might need something while you're on site. We are unable to provide refreshments at this time. Thank you, in advance, for your understanding.
We ask that you wear a mask at all times, practice social distancing, and use hand sanitizer often while on the work site. We have limited the number of volunteers and all of our projects will be outside. However, Partners in Hope can not guarantee you will not be exposed to COVID-19 or any other communicable illness.
