River Rats is a FREE hands-on outdoor educational program available to elementary aged students. During each session the participants will complete a hands-on activity, hike, and learn something new about the creatures or features of Island Park all while enjoying the beautiful Wildlife Sanctuary.
All programs are open to students in grades K - 4.
Participants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Sign up for each session individually to allow us to get a proper head count. Space is limited to 30 students each session.
On the day of the class:
Meet at Duck Park at 11:00am to get signed in. We will hike up to the class areas from there together.
Sessions will last approx. 1 hour.
All sessions are outdoors, please dress accordingly.
We will make every attempt to hold classes despite of the weather. However, if we experience extreme weather, that session will be canceled.
