Night in Bethlehem 2020

Night in Bethlehem Volunteers

Join Trinity UMC on Dec. 5 & 6 as we transform the Oxmoor small parking lot into a "Night in Bethlehem". Guests will travel back in time to experience the magical night that Jesus was born. They will stroll through Bethlehem on a guided tour to visit the marketplace shops, participate in a variety of crafts and visit the Live Nativity. All guests and volunteers will be socially distanced and masked for safety.

Many hands are needed to help with this special Advent event. If you are on a desk top, click on the different tabs at the TOP of this page to volunteer. On a mobile device - look for the drop down box options. The 7 volunteer areas are:

  • Greeter/ Registration - Welcome guests, check in reservations and help guests record their mark for the Bethlehem Census.
  • Tour Guides -Tour and direct families through the Bethlehem marketplace booths and the live nativity.
  • Market Place Booth- Demonstrate and guide crafts while talking to the traveling guests about what is happening in Bethlehem.
  • Actors/Drama -Tap into your acting skills to play a Roman Soldier, a Census Taker, a Wiseman or a shepherd.
  • Live Nativity - Moms, Dads and Babies are needed to play The Holy Family - Joseph, Mary and Baby Jesus (Babies 6 mos and younger).
  • Set Up/Take Down  - Volunteers needed to help set up and disassemble the event.
