The San Ramon Valley United Methodist Church and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Danville, in conjunction with the Interfaith Council of Contra Costa County, are partnering in October to support the urgent need for blood donations.
GOAL: The goal of this partnership is to host a successful Blood Drive in June with the help of fabulous volunteers, like YOU!
WHEN: The blood drive will be held on Tuesday, October 26th from 10am-4pm in the gymnasium at the San Ramon Valley United Methodist Church (902 Danville Blvd, Alamo, CA 94507)
COVID19 precautions strictly followed, including mask wearing and sanitizing.
Adult volunteers are needed to help in a variety of ways.
1. CHECK IN DONORS- Volunteers are needed to sit at the registration table and check in blood donors to help the blood drive run smoothly.
2. ASSIST AT THE CANTEEN/SANITIZE- Volunteers are needed to assist blood donors after they have given blood while they wait in the canteen and rest/eat a snack. Canteen volunteers will also sanitize the donor waiting areas.
3. SANITIZE RESTROOMS- Volunteers are needed to sanitize restrooms and other public areas throughout the day as needed.
Please register below to volunteer at the blood drive.
MATERIALS/SAFETY: In order to engage in this project as safely as possible, the Red Cross will provide wipes, masks, and gloves for all volunteers. All volunteers and donors will have their temperatures checked before they enter the gymnasium.

ICARE: ICARE is a program of the Interfaith Council of Contra Costa County (I4C) that creates opportunities for people of diverse religions, spiritual expressions and indigenous traditions to work together to improve the lives of people in our county who are in need. By linking volunteers with projects across the county, we work together to provide resources such as food, shelter, supplies and other forms of support for people in our community. We do this by partnering with selected, local nonprofit organizations. Before volunteering, you’re encouraged to attend our online orientation workshop below.
