We are so thankful for you signing up.
We ask that lectors only initially signup in advance for two masses per month. That way everyone gets a chance to signup for at least two masses they prefer.
Then as each week comes up, we ask the lectors to check back into the signup and if they see any mass for that same weekend that still needs a reader we ask the lector to consider signing up.
In order to make sure Fr. Brown has enough support at all the masses to distribute the Eucharist, we will be making a backup signup each month.
Please look at the signup and signup for any date you know you will be present at mass. On the day you are scheduled please come up to the altar at the appropriate time and come into the sacristy and wash your hands with soap and water and follow the safety protocols (making sure you do not touch the communicant hands..etc.).
If this is your first time serving since the pademic started, we ask that you arrive early and checkin with Fr. Brown so he can go over protocols.
If on the day you were scheduled, you notice a deacon is assisting Fr. Brown at the mass, we ask that you allow the deacon to help Fr. Brown with the Eucaharist instead of yourself, although you have signed up. This is the protocol since deacons, priests and bishops are "ordinary ministers" of Communion and are required to distribute the Eucharist if they are at Mass. In these situations, we thank you so much for volunteering and for your flexibility.
