Note - for CHAS clinics you need to sign-up 2 working days in advance to allow time for CHAS to clear you.
CHAS will be at SCC campus every Saturday beginning April 7th to provide COVID vaccines. Help with vaccinating, scribing and other tasks needed.
There is pre-work to do if you have not already done so and links to the documents are below. Students please bring print out of your signed Acknowledgement of Training (Modules and Reading document or a screen shot with your signature) to give to faculty preceptor. Faculty review prior to clinic. Nursing students also need to do the WSU attestation prior to arrival to show to preceptors. We will need faculty vaccinator/preceptors and student vaccinators. We will be administering vaccines but those that can vaccinate may be used in other roles if neccessary. If you have questions please contact Nursing/Kay Olson - [email protected] and Pharmacy/Shannon Patterson - [email protected]
Note: As younger people become eligible for the vaccine it will be necessary to verify age. A government issued ID may be required to prove age. Pfizer is approved for 16 years and above, Moderna & Janssen are approved for 18 years and above.
Student Vaccinators - can be Pharmacy students, PY2, PY3, PY4(Pharmicist on site); Nursing students S1 & S2 (as long as faculty or approved preceptor on site, planning to have each day). J2 students can vaccinate if accompanied by their clinical instructors (otherwise sign up as non-vaccinators)
Student Non-Vaccinators - Nursing J1 or J2 students, Medical, Speech & Language; Nutrition & Exercise Physiology
