Mid-South Hosta Society
The Hosta Trail at Memphis Botanic Garden is a national display garden sanctioned by the American Hosta Society in 2006 and completed in 2007. More information can be found here.
In addition to scheduled Trail Workdays, we are seeking volunteers to visit the Trail every week to do minor weeding. We hope that this weekly attention will keep the Trail weed free and attractive to visitors. Weeding on a weekly basis should take no more than one hour (we hope!)
To accomodate MBG events, we are limited to Fridays between 8 and noon. Coordinate with your fellow volunteer. Take gloves, tools, kneeling pads, etc. Heavy tools should not be necessary. If you need a ride out to the trail, please contact Furniss Harkness at 901-340-5259 and he will arrange it.
