Friday, January 22nd 5:00pm-6:00pm or Saturday, January 23rd 11:00am-12:00pm
Please join us as Hilton's PSO hosts its annual community service event in conjunction with the Project Linus Organization!
This non-profit organization, comprised solely of volunteers like us, collects and distributes handmade blankets to local children in crisis. Project Linus's mission is: "To provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer 'blanketeers.' And to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities for the benefit of children."
Here are the details:
This year we’re doing it covid drive thru style! Families will have two opportunities to pick up supplies, either Friday, January 22nd from 5-6 pm or Saturday, January 23rd from 11 am-12 pm. Simply pull up to the Hilton parking lot circle and a PSO member will be there to give you your supplies—you don’t even need to get out of your car! Fabric and instructions will be included for you to make the no sew blankets at home (please indicate when you sign up how many blankets you would like to make). Completed blankets can be returned to the Hilton lobby or dropped off at the circle on Monday, February 1st from 5-6 pm. As we have done before, we will also be accepting any other new, handmade blankets (sewn, quilted, knitted or crocheted). If you have any questions, please email Christy Crouch at [email protected]
Thank you for support!
