Ushers-Beaufort International Film Festival
Responsible for assisting patrons entering & exiting the theater on Wed., Feb. 19, Thurs., Feb. 20, Friday, Feb. 21, and Sat. Feb. 22. We ask that you remain stationed OUTSIDE the doors of the theater during their entire shift (will have chairs to sit during screenings). Responsible for taking up the single tickets & checking for tickets/lanyards in the theater between screenings. Monitor the comings & goings of the viewers during your shift. Count number of people in seats to the best of your ability. Immediately close all the theater doors when the screening begins. Clean up in the theater (to include but not limited to trash, spilled popcorn, etc.). Will be provided a dust pan and broom for light sweeping in between the screenings inside the theater. Will be loaned a pocket flashlight as it will be dark inside. Trash cans will be stationed nearby to throw any trash left behind by the attendees in the trashcan. During the feature or documentary screenings, (an hour to an hour and a half) which are the long screenings, please check the restrooms for paper towels and toilet paper. Let your Chair Volunteer know if anything needs to be restocked in the restrooms.
Volunteer incentive: 1 shift = 1 screening ticket, 2 shifts = 2 screening tickets, 3 and 4 shifts = 1 ALL DAY SCREENING PASS (CHOOSE ANY SCREENING DAY) 5 and 6 shifts = 2 ALL DAY SCREENING PASSES (CHOOSE ANY SCREENING DAYS). 7 and 8 shifts = 3 ALL DAY SCREENING PASSES (CHOOSE ANY SCREENING DAYS) and 9 and 10 shifts = 4 ALL DAY SCREENING PASSES. THE ALL DAY SCREENING PASSES ARE VALUTED AT $50 EACH. SCREENINGS TAKE PLACE FROM 9 AM - 11 PM. THANK YOU IN AVANCE. SEE YOUR VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR TO RECEIVE YOUR TICKET OR DAY PASS(es)!!
Dress: Please wear all black. Black top, turtle neck, blouse, black sweater, black pants or black skirt. Available for 3 hour shifts. Michele Barker is your Chair volunteer.
