Family Promise Ministry - Volunteer Opportunities
BIG CHANGES IN OUR FAMILY PROMISE MINISTRY AT NEW HOPE FOR JULY 17-23!
For our hosting week for Family Promise guest families, we are going to experiment with a new overnight arrangement. Yes, after 10+ years of overnights at our partner First United Methodist Church next door, we are going it alone!
Family Promise has secured contracts on some rental 'apartment homes' nearby, and have chosen New Hope to be the first to try the new housing arrangement.
So all we at New Hope will be providing is the evening meals/evening hosting with guest families, and we can finally serve our communal meals at the new and improved New Hope Community Center....praise God!
The food arrangements for 16 people will be the same as before, but instead bring your meals to the Community Center for setup around 6pm for the families to arrive between 6:15-6:45pm.
It would be good for the food-providers to stick around until 7:30om or so, and they could then take any of their cookware back that night and help with clean-up We also will need Evening Hosts, particularly to police the new rules on our fabulous gym floor to ensure no scuffing or damage from moving chairs and tables across them, etc?
