ODEC B & G
ODEC needs your help. Eight (8) young trees and 10 shrubs were planted as part of the new landscaping with the construction project and they need to be watered.
Each tree needs 10 minutes of water and the shrubs in two rows of five (5) need 10 minutes per row. A watering shift will take a minimum of 100 minutes. The trees and shrubs can be watered at any time of the day as you will be watering the base of the plants and not the leaves. Four (4) of the trees are located at the at the corners of the newly paved parking lot and four (4) beside Witchduck Rd along the Great Hall. The two (2) rows of shrubs are located on either side of the new parking lot entrance by the Great Hall. At the corner of the Great Hall there is a hose from a “Y” connector with an orange spray nozzle (the other leg of the “Y” connects through a timer to the soak pipe running along the side of the Great Hall). To turn the hose on you only need to turn the lever/valve on the arm of the “Y” splitter connected to the hose with the orange spray nozzle. When all trees and shrubs have been watered, please shut off the valve and pull the hose to the grass area at the end of the Great Hall, where there’s plenty of space so no need to coil the hose just lay it out in an “S” pattern.
If it is raining or has recently rained on your designated day, please check the soil to determine if watering is needed that day.
