Preserve the Harvest was born from a desire to glean the food that grows on the boulevards and yards of Denver and put it to use to feed our community. We developed partnerships with some amazing CO organizations and companies to make sure that each and every one of the preserving events is rewarding, exhilarating, and fun! Each event shares the craft behind one or more preserving techniques and reminds us that preserving is an art, meant to be enjoyed as much as it is meant to be useful.
The ambassador's role is to introduce and talk about Slow Food, make sure everyone has a good time, distribute handouts and generally oversee the event.
At our tour and demonstration events, the ambassador's roles is to oversee and may also join the event at no cost.
At our hands-on classes (cheese-making, vegetable preservation, fruit preservation, or fermenting/dehydrating), the ambassador's role is to oversee as a non-participant. However, if you would like to be the ambassador and would also like to be a participant in a class, we request that you sign up and pay for the class. If this is the case, please email [email protected].
You will be contacted by Jessica with details, handouts, etc. prior to the event.
