Annual Member Exhibit 2019

The Annual Member Exhibit (AME) is one of our biggest events of the year.    Entry to the show is open to all active members of WAS-H.   This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know your fellow WAS-H members and interact with them.   Since we are run entirely by volunteers, your help is greatly appreciated.   Please take time to look over the volunteer opportunities and see if there is an area (or more) in which you can help.  Karen Capper (832) 277-4688 is the Director for the AME and can answer any questions you have about volunteer positions.

See room diagram for table setup. Place signs on wall: single, double, triple. Prepare ready station in kitchen: tape, scissors, pens, multiple copies of Prospectus for artists to use entry forms

Process Early Dropoffs (2)

check to make sure Artist is active member. Check that painting meets all requirements on Prospectus: 1) size of painting, 2) make and width of frame, 3) color of mat, 4) plexiglass, 5) hanging wire. Follow instructions for Take-In and Cashiering

 
9:30am - 12:30pm  

Take-in Runner (2)

Pick up painting from Take-in Table once sign-in is complete. Place painting(s) on floor along correct wall that corresponds with the number of paintings entered by artist (i.e., Single, Double, and Triple entries). Train next volunteer to follow.

 

Cashier (2)

Welcome artist to AME! Make sure there is a hand-written number (from Take-in Table) on Reg Form. Take money & Reg. Form from Artist. Place money in Cash or Check envelope. Give Reg. Form to Data Entry. At EOD make sure monies balance to entries.

 

Data Entry (Take-in) (2)

Using Reg. Form (from cashier) enter artist information in chronological order on data entry spreadsheet. Once registration is over, print preview labels on plain paper for elimination process. Print final labels for hanging.

Take down tables - place 2 along front of room under right video screens. Leave demo table in place. Vacuum. Set up chairs (as many as possible). Set up Awards on tables at front of room

Move paintings around so that Juror can make eliminations from Triple, Double and Single (if necessary). Take Pink Post-It paintings to kitchen after first checking in with Data Entry volunteer. Move Green Post-it paintings to Single Wall
