2022 Riverkeeper Float Fest

Come out on Saturday, August 20, for the long-awaited return of the Riverkeeper Float Fest, sponsored by Appalachian Mountain Brewery and hosted by River and Earth Adventures. This family-friendly event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m at River and Earth Adventures' New River Outpost in Todd, NC. Appalachian Mountain Brewery will offer local craft beer, food and live music.

This will be a family-friendly, experiential educational event and a fun day out on the water. Volunteers will support the the festival in 2 hour shifts in various ways from giving out wristbands to supporting river safety for floaters and are welcome to participate for free in the float before or after your shift. The riverside fest will have a food truck, live music, volleyball, cornhole and other yard games. MountainTrue staff and Riverkeepers will lead environmental education activities including kick-net sampling for macro invertebrates, guided nature walks, and watershed modeling. River & Earth Adventures will provide tubes and shuttles. We hope to see you there!
