Well, it's time to plan meals for build season! Please read this entire message (We know it's super long!) as it contains important information you will need in order for your child to reach 100% achievements and help cover the cost of travel to competitions. As you know, in order for your child to meet 100% achievements, your family needs to provide one meal during build season. I have included mentors on this email as this is where you can look to see what will be served each day.
Please choose a date and fill in the meal you are planning to bring. If you choose to share a meal with another family, that is fine, but you will need to share 2 meals, so that a meal for each family is accounted for to meet the achievement. Just like last year, we are hoping to limit pizza and pasta to no more than twice a week. You are responsible for bringing a main dish, sides, drinks and desserts. Please be sure to provide a vegetarian option. Please look at the meals people have already set up and see what they are bringing and try to give the kids and mentors a little variety!
The team supplies plates, napkins, cups and silverware. Unless otherwise noted, meals are served in G7 (second floor, across from the small closet). You will need to be ready to serve at 6:00 for dinner and 1:00 for weekend lunches. You are also responsible for set-up and clean up. Please offer any leftovers to the custodians. Here is a rough estimate of numbers:
- Tuesday dinners, Kick Off: ~65
- Wednesday and Thursday Dinners: ~50
- Saturday/Sunday Lunches: ~50
- Saturday/Sunday Dinners: ~50
- These numbers vary greatly and I don't know week to week how many people will show up. Regents/midterm week tends to be a little lighter. February 17th has more people due to Rally.
After you complete your meal, please take a look at the supplies on the cart and see if we are running low on any items and let me know.
Save the Date:
We will have 2 potlucks where each family is asked to bring a dish to pass. These are opportunities for the whole team, mentors and parents to get together, hear about this year's game, and learn about the progress the team is making. The dates are :
- January 8th and February 19th
We will be sending out another online sign up for these 2 meals.
Let me know if you have any questions.
