The Brooks Rehabilitation Challenge Mile is a free 1 mile event to enable and empower individuals living with disability. We welcome people of all ages and abilities to come together in the powerful community wide event. Participants are invited to wheel it, walk it, jog it or run it.
Volunteers are needed to assist with several tasks, including but not limited to:
- Set up at each of our locations (Health Care Plaza, Orange Park NRC and Brooks Bartram Campus) to include setting up tents and tables, organizing registration items and having them at the appropriate places, etc.
- Registration items at each of our locations (which includes checking in individuals, distributing t-shirts, numbers & safety pins, assigning riders to busses, bus monitoring, etc.)
- Course volunteers who will be responsible for walking the course, monitoring participants for need of assistance, being the "wheelchair ambassador" who will be on the course at set locations ready to assist when called
All volunteers will also need to be registered for the Challenge Mile itself. If you have NOT registered, please do so using this link: https://www.signmeup.com/site/reg/register.aspx?fid=MN2VXG7
Please be reminded that the deadline to guarantee a t-shirt and bus transportation is Saturday, February 22nd!
