Please see the list below for volunteer opportunities available throughout the year at St. Paul's. These are sign ups just to be on the committee. Parent Lead volunteers and Staff Contacts will be chosen/notified at a later date.

Scrip Sales (2)

Help with window sales (Every Tuesday and Wednesday morning, Thursday afternoons, and the 1st Sunday of the month at church).

Scrip Finance (5)

Duties include: managing the money handling policies, track and manage the daily cash balances, submit weekly deposits, reconcile orders and cash flow, create monthly account checks and balances report, and communicate with the church business manager.

Mentor Families (5)

A team of families with at least one family per grade will provide welcome calls to new families throughout the year, recruit mentor families, partner new families and mentor families, and facilitate a welcome event for new families.

 

Box Tops (5)

The team will collect the box tops and soup labels from each classroom monthly, organize monthly work sessions to trim and count labels to be sent in for redemption, and create incentive activities.

Room Parent Coordinator Team (5)

The team will facilitate communication between all room parents, organize the room parent information packets, and lead the room parent orientation.

 

Teacher Appreciation Team (5)

The team will encourage and support teachers throughout the year with break room treats, notes of encouragement, prayers, and will plan special appreciation festivities.

School Pictures (5)

The team will assist the photographers student picture days for fall and spring.

Office Assistant (5)

This team will help with copies each week that need to be made and projects as the office staff needs.

Hospitality (5)

The team leader will coordinate the supplying of refreshments and the hosting of a hospitality table for campus visitors at special events and visiting groups such a principals meetings, NJHS Induction, Special Friends Day, etc.

Used Uniforms/ Lost and Found (5)

The team will coordinate sorting donated uniforms and lost and found items and to manage bi-monthly pre-owned uniform sales events.

Recycle Drives (5)

The team leader will promote recycling events, supervise recycle drop-offs, and sort recyclables monthly in partnership with the SLT Team.

 

Panther's Den (5)

Create a schedule for the year and coordinate parent volunteers to staff the snack bar during open times. This committee would also do all the shopping for supplies, etc.

 

School Spirit Store (5)

A team of parents to help research different spirit wear, potentially create an online St. Paul’s Spirit Store. Also be available to call on to sell spirit wear at different events throughout the year.

Marketing Moms/Dads (5)

A team of marketing professionals who assist with outreach to our community for our school and provide assistance with graphic design, article writing, creating brochures, etc.

 

Historian Committee (5)

This team of parents would be available to take pictures at school-wide events and set up a way to organize all of the photos for the year for easy sharing and downloading.

 

Dads on Campus (DOC) Committee (5)

The members of this committee would come together to assist in creating a campus atmosphere for our students that is clean and assist with campus projects on an as needed basis.

 

New Family Social 08/23/2018 (5)

The team will facilitate the planning of an event to welcome new 1st-8th grade school families by coordinating an on-campus social during the meet and greet night involving mentor families.

Boo Hoo Breakfast (8/28/2019) (5)

The team will facilitate the planning of the Kindergarten family breakfast including invitations, food, presentation, and décor.

 

Welcome Back Celebration Picnic ( 9/9/2019) (5)

The team will facilitate the planning of children’s activities, food sales, event entertainment, and publicity in connection with designated faculty.

 

Awareness Week: Red Ribbon and Anti- Bullying Week (October) (5)

The team will partner with Mrs. Fink to select the annual theme, plan daily lunchtime activities, create banners to represent each daily theme, plan the Red Ribbon week décor, select and order student give-away items, and recruit guest speakers.

 

Fall Fundraiser- Lead (9/12- 9/18/17) (2)

The team will be responsible for reviewing fundraising companies, selecting a fall fundraiser subject to approval by administration, facilitating promotion of fundraiser activities, tracking class goals.

Fall Fundraiser- Help (September) (5)

During the week of the fundraiser the team will organize the student collection forms, distribute student prizes, track money collection, report daily totals and deposits to Katherine Masterson, and plan the top sellers reward event.

 

National Lutheran Schools Week (January 27th - February 2nd 2019) (5)

This team will be available to assist with activities taking place during this week by attending planning meetings as well as helping with activities during the week.

 

Talent Show (5)

The team will facilitate the planning of the student showcased performances in conjunction with the staff contacts. The team will also be responsible for event publicity, auditions, food sales, event program, and stage management.

 

Gala (2/9/2019) (5)

This team will plan for this year’s St. Paul’s celebration event including site selection for the event, marketing for the event, ticket sales, menu selection, auction prize solicitation and planning for silent auction and live auction.

Art Masters (5)

The team will assist Mrs. Lofink in collecting and mounting student art work for the Art Show at Orange Lutheran High School, and will facilitate the collection of baked goods for the Art Show.

 

Panther Power Run (5)

The team will work to plan and coordinate the day of for this large school fundraising event by soliciting local vendors for raffle prizes, planning activities for the day, marketing the event and tracking “pledges”.

 

8th Grade Scholarship Essays (5)

The team will select a team of judging volunteers to read the student essays, will tally the scoring results, and will present the scholarship award at 8th Grade Graduation.
