Discover Nature: Forest Bathing (Shinrin-Yoku) Wednesday, April 28, 11 am

Unlock the healing magic of the natural world by slowing down and immersing your mind, body and spirit to the therapeutic benefits of Shinrin-yoku.  Forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku is simply, spending time outdoors under the canopy of trees. In Japanese, “shinrin” means forest and “yoku” means bath, as in immersing oneself in the forest and soaking in the atmosphere through the senses. On this one-hour walk, you will experience a series of guided, gentle invitations to open the senses, cultivate presence and invite healing interactions between people and the natural world. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes appropriate for walking on nature center trails. We welcome you to bring a packed lunch or snack to extend your time at the nature center afterwards.
