Chicago Sinai has teamed up with Maot Chitim of Greater Chicago to deliver boxes of food in preparation for Passover to members of the Chicagoland Jewish Community in need. Boxes must be picked up on Sunday, April 14, 2017, at Chicago Sinai between 10:30-12:30pm and delivered by 2:00pm.
As a volunteer, you will be assigned 2-3 families to deliver boxes to in nearby Chicago communities (neighborhoods include Wrigleyville, DePaul, Near North/Loop, Lakeview, Logan Square, South Loop, Old Town, Lincoln Park, West Town, Roscoe Village, Humboldt Park, and Wicker Park). You must have access to a car for this volunteer opportunity.
The mission of Maot Chitim of Greater Chicago, Inc. is to assist needy members of the Greater Chicagoland Jewish community with Passover and High Holiday and other food related needs, so that they may observe the holidays and daily life in a traditional and dignified manner. The mission is also to provide a tzedakah (charity) vehicle to unite all members of the Jewish Community.
The first 20 Sinai community members to sign up will be assigned two to three families to deliver to.
