Many of us long for connection more than ever right now. In a time of isolation and even loneliness, we need Church community. A place to be known, to share life, to be encouraged, to grow spiritually, to pray for each other, to discover how God is at work in our lives. That is why we’re trying something new for the month of May: Life Groups.
Rather than offer topical classes, our next Second @ First session will provide the opportunity for adults of all ages to join a Life Group. Life Groups are focused on relationship building and growing spiritually together. Using ZOOM or another video-conferencing platform, groups will gather digitally on a weekly basis for a total of 5 meetings in May. Groups will be kept to a size of 6-10 people and determine together a weekly time that works for everyone. Although the purpose of Life Groups is relational rather than educational, there will be “content” guiding group discussion and sharing. We’ll be using a video series from North Point Ministries called “Circle Up.” Life Group leaders will facilitate each meeting and be the point-person for communication.
