The 2019 Used Book Sale collection date is Saturday, January 19, 2019.
Hello UHS Juniors and Seniors,
The Book Sale Committee needs your help with our Used Book Sale neighborhood book collection!
Every year, UHS Juniors and Seniors kick off our Used Book Sale fundraiser by picking up books from neighborhoods in our district. If you are a freshman or sophomore and don't have a driver's license, you can also help! Just have a licensed adult do the driving for you, or volunteer to unload cars as drivers return to the high school with their collections.
Volunteers will earn Community Service hours (for NHS, Scouts, etc.). Hours qualify as Mandatory Community Service hours for NHS!
Check the routes (and the streets in them) here:
Sign up for the route(s) you want on this Sign Up Genius (below).
You may sign up for more than one route.
You may collect by yourself or with friends.
Everyone who will be collecting with you should be signed up.
When signing up, please provide your email and cell phone number. The phone number must be a number by which you can be reached on collection day.
A few notes:
Hours are flexible. You set your own hours. We suggest starting after 9:00 AM.
When you are finished all the streets in the route or your car is full, take the book donations to the high school and drop them off at the GYM ENTRANCE to the Cafeteria LGI. There will be volunteers there to help you unload your car.
Remember to give yourself enough time to collect on all streets in the route. It may take multiple trips to complete your route, so consider carefully how many routes you can complete.
In the event of a school closure on collection day (e.g., for snow), book collection will take place the following Saturday.
If you have any questions please email or text Michelle Ritchie at [email protected] or 484-467-3990.
