Birding Basics for Beginners - March 2019

Wednesday’s in March
Would-be Birders or any combination of confused, novice, beginner or new-to-Florida birders!

A small group, no more than 5-7 participants, is invited to attend 4 bird walk classes to learn how to identify Florida marsh birds. Meeting place is Egret Marsh Stormwater Park, a small restricted, man-made habitat in Vero Beach. Class is free, and you do not need to be a member of PIAS (of course, we hope you will join), but you are asked to attend all 4 classes. Class will include: instruction in the use of binoculars (binocular loaners available if you don’t have your own); an introduction to eBird; encouragement in taking field bird notes and when to use a bird book. You will have many opportunity to watch and name Floridas most common birds including those confusing white birds!
