Birding Field Trip to Lake Apopka & Central Florida birding sites

January 12 and 13, 2019 - Lake Apopka and Central Florida birding sites, hosted by Oklawaha Audubon chapter. This is our first overnight field trip, with birding on our own on Saturday, the 12th, at several hotspots. We’ll stay over-night at the Quality Inn North in Mt. Dora (make your own reservations), and have dinner on our own in Mt. Dora. On Sunday, the 13th, guides from the hosting Audubon chapter will lead us on a driving tour of the Lake Apopka wetlands, starting at 7:30 am (5-6 hours duration), before we return to Vero Beach.

 Depart from Audubon House at 8:00 am on the 12th. The PIAS van will be available ($25.00 @) to take several participants who sign up on a first-come, first-serve basis; other interested parties may drive their personal vehicles.
