Public Volunteers
Join us in Historic Downtown Fort Mill on Saturday April 30th as a volunteer for our annual Strawberry Sprint & Stroll event! Volunteers will help us with everything from directing racers, nutrition and hydration stations and festival fun! This event is brought to you by Fort Mill Economic Partners.
Family volunteers are welcome! Children should be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please note that road crossing volunteers must be 21+.
All volunteers will recieve an event t-shirt as a thank you!
Volunteer Roles & Descriptions
Packet Pick Up Volunteers
Help check in racers, hand out racer packets & t-shirts
Start/Finish Volunteers
-help corral racers at start
-Unpackage(if needed) medals
-Hand out medals and direct racers to nutrition tents
Nutrition Tents
-hand out water and finisher nutrition
Water Stops
-Ensure racers have access to water along race route
-Cupless race, no trash!
Road crossings
-We have 4 major crossings
-Volunteers are needed to help Police Officers navigate traffic and runners
-Volunteers need to be 21 or older for this location
Festival Area
-Assist race staff with trash policing
-Volunteers will help set up and tear down
Course Sweep
-Follow last racers help pick up any trash dropped by racers
-Informs course volunteers, police, and water stops they are the final racers and they can breakdown
-Encourage racers
