Homeschooling Through High School
In 2012, I reached a homeschooling milestone...my oldest child was starting 8th grade. Suddenly I was hit with the fact that "homeschooling through high school" was right around the corner. I was terrified! Had I done this right up to this point? What was required for high school homeschool? I had heard about dual credit but did not have any idea what it entailed or how to go about doing it. What if I did high school "wrong" and my kid did not get into college? What if my child does not want to go to college? How do I prepare her for the workforce? Simply put, I was overwhelmed and a little panicked! I did what any homeschool mom would do, I started asking question of my fellow homescholing friends. I found out that most of them were panicked too because their students were in similar grades. So, I sought out homeschool parents with kids in college and asked lots of questions! The burden began to lift. My questions were answered, and I formed a flexible plan for homeschooling through high school. I was confident it was all going to be OK.
If you have an 8th grade or older student then this workshop is for you! (This could also benefit parents of middle school students who anticipate homeschooling through high school.)
