Portland Vancouver Rowing Association

2018 NW Masters Championships Volunteer Sign Up

Dates: June 22-24, 2018

Volunteer at the 2018 NW Masters Championships!

The Portland Vancouver Rowing Association (PVRA) is hosting the 2018 NW Masters Championship at Vancouver Lake on June 22-24. We have hundreds of volunteers shifts in various positions to fill, so please look over your schedule and sign up for as much as you are able to help out with!

The volunteers for this regatta will largely represent the four high school rowing clubs in Portland. This is a great way to meet parents and athletes from other clubs, and to work together for the good of our rowing community.

Include your club affiliation when signing up so that way we can track your hours. Your club will receive a donation for every hour you work!

You don't need any experience for most of the jobs, and you will receive on-the-job-training when you arrive to work at your position. Try a couple different jobs and learn something new about rowing! Please check the job descriptions to make sure that you have any necessary qualifications (this particularly applies for prospective launch drivers).

Volunteer Requirements

Although the majority of shifts are to be filled by junior clubs, to ensure we get the needed volunteers each participating club is required to fill a certain amount of volunteer hours based on last years entries.

If you must cancel after signing up, you have a few options:

  1. Delete your shift and sign up for another (preferred)
  2. Find someone else to fill in for your shift
  3. Swap a shift with another volunteer

On the day of your volunteer shift

Report to the Volunteer Tent at the regatta and check in at least 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled shift time. We will make sure you get to your volunteer assignment and give you any necessary training. All volunteer times are estimates: the volunteer job may possibly run longer or shorter than the posted time (weather delays are common). Please be understanding.

Thank you for helping us out! We look forward to seeing you at the regatta!
