Portland Vancouver Rowing Association

2018 NW Youth Championships Volunteer Sign Up

Dates: May 18-20, 2018

Volunteer at the 2018 NW Youth Championships!

The volunteers for this regatta will represent both masters rowers from various Portland area rowing clubs, as well as family members of the athletes from the high school rowing clubs in the Pacific NW. This is a great way to meet athletes from other clubs, other parents, and to work together for the good of our rowing community.

In addition, your club will receive a donation for every volunteer hour you work! Include your club affiliation when signing up so that way we can track your hours.

You don't need any experience for most of the jobs, and you will receive on-the-job-training when you arrive to work at your position. Try a couple different jobs and learn something new about rowing! Please check the job descriptions to make sure that you have any necessary qualifications (this particularly applies for prospective launch drivers).

Friday Morning (6am-1pm) Volunteer Requirements

All junior clubs participating in this regatta are required to provide volunteers for Friday morning shifts. If you are not affiliated with a participating club, please sign up for a shift other than Friday morning.

  2. Find someone else to fill in for your shift
  3. Swap a shift with another volunteer

On the day of your volunteer shift

Report to the Volunteer Tent at the regatta and check in at least 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled shift time. We will make sure you get to your volunteer assignment and give you any necessary training. All volunteer times are estimates: the volunteer job may possibly run longer or shorter than the posted time (weather delays are common). Please be understanding.
