• Dates: Tuesday June 21st-Friday June 24th AND Monday, June 27th- Friday July 1st (please note there is camp on Monday June 20th as NVC campus in closed in observance of Juneteenth) 

• Class Time: 9am-3pm 

• Performance Dates/Times: There will be two performances on Friday July 1st at 2pm and 6pm on the Napa Valley College Performing Arts Mainstage

• Tuition Cost: $675- tuition includes materials and costume fees

• Ages: 7-14 (your student must be age 7 by 6/21/22 to participate in this camp)

• Every student that enrolls receives a role. Maximum of 35 students  

• Students ages 15+ who are going into Sophomore year of high school can receive college credit for this Theater Arts Academy class. Receive training as a teaching artist + perform in the show! Reach out to [email protected] for more information.

All enrolled students will be emailed a complete registration packet that needs to be submitted the first day of camp. 

Jungle Book Kids DESCRIPTION

Adapted from Disney's beloved animated film and the works of Rudyard Kipling, the “man cub” Mowgli, bounds through the jungle and learns what it means to be human. The jungle is jumpin' with a jazzy beat in Disney's The Jungle Book KIDS. Specially adapted from the classic Disney animated film, Disney's The Jungle Book KIDS features a host of colorful characters and your favorite songs from the movie.

Banished by the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan, a human boy named Mowgli and his panther friend, Bagheera, are on the run in the deepest parts of the jungle. On their journey, the two meet a sinister snake named Kaa, a herd of elephants and a giant bear named Baloo, who teaches them the swingin' musical rhythms of the jungle. After surviving a dangerous encounter with a band of monkeys led by King Louie, Mowgli and Bagheera are forced to run for their lives. When Shere Khan returns, our heroes must rally their fellow animals into battle and restore peace throughout the jungle.

FAQ

Each student that enrolls in this Jungle Book Kids camp receives a roll. Within the first day of camp students will be assigned role/s for the production. The summer camp has camp/rehearsal from 9:00am-3:00pm each day. It is a fun and intense camp where a full Jr. production is brought to life with costumes, props, lights, and music on the mainstage of the NVC Performing Arts Center.
