Teacher Appreciation week is a time of the year when parents and PTA groups thank educators who are making a difference in the lives of our children and community at large, with small gifts of appreciation. There are 1966 teachers and faculty in our area who are working at Title 1 schools. Generally speaking, Title 1 schools are serving children from economically challenged families and communities. As a result, many of these teachers receive little to no appreciation duting Teacher Appreciation Week.
Our goal this year is to provide Techer Appreciation Gifts to 21 Title 1 schools in our area. We’ll be providing lunch, snacks, small gifts and t-shirts with school logos as a way of saying, "We appreciate and value the difference you're making in the lives of children in our community."
Make a donation at BridgingRVA.com or volunteer to help us deliver gifts to schools on May 6th. We have fun ways for schools, businesses, faith-based communities and civic groups to participate. Send us an email at [email protected] to learn more.
Together, we can make this HAPPEN!
