NTD 2018

National Train Day Toledo Volunteers

National Train Day Toledo is coming! It's Saturday, May 4th, with events from 9:30 am-4 pm. You can be part of the fun by volunteering on Train Day, or by helping with preparations the week prior to the big day.

The event is at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza / Toledo Amtrak Station, 415 Emerald Ave., just south of downtown Toledo. It's a free open house, celebrating all things rail: passenger and freight rail, model railroads, and much more. Food trucks, free rides on speeders ("handcars") and a historic trolley tour, music, kid activities and workshops, Opening Ceremony with rail and community leaders, vendors and displays all add to the fun and informational day. Plus, you can enter raffles to win prizes and rail trips!

Volunteers make the day special for visitors. Please look over the list, and sign up!! Volunteers age 14 and under must work with someone 17 or older (parents welcome). If you don't have a Train Day Volunteer T-shirt, please request one in your size (AT END OF VOLUNTEER SLOTS LIST). For any questions, comments, or suggestions, e-mail Diane at [email protected] Thanks!
